What is a Landing Page Video Transcript:
Hey, what’s up, everybody? Dan at Metro Nova Creative here, and we’re going to continue our series, our FAQ about websites series. So we do build custom websites WordPress websites for businesses, and we get a lot of the same questions over and over and over again. So I thought, what better way to answer them than by creating a video and putting it on the internet? So this is a continuation of a series, so you can find the links for the rest down below, I’m sure. And right now we’re going to talk about what is a landing page? So a lot of people get confused about a landing page, as opposed to just a regular old page on a website. The answer is, there’s no difference. So that might be confusing.
So a landing page is not some sort of special specific page, a type of page. It’s just a web page on a website. The website is made up of a bunch of web pages. A landing page is more of a marketing term, right? So imagine this is a page that maybe is probably not listed on the main menu. So regular users that drove in your website probably aren’t going to find this. What is utilized for its giving you a specific link. So that if you have a marketing campaign, for instance, we’ll do every door direct mail marketing for some clients where we print out postcards and direct mail and out the neighborhoods. And on those cards, they have a QR code.They can scan that QR code, and it brings up a landing page on their website.
So that page is dedicated specifically to that marketing campaign. That way they know that if the contact form on that page is filled out, that the ROI for that marketing thing is, you know, 15% or whatever it is. So the difference really is a page is just any pages on a website. The landing page is still considered a page, but a landing page specifically is normally created just for a particular campaign or a particular use. You can switch them out, switch out the information to switch out contact forms, photos, calls to action, all that stuff. So that is really a difference. That’s what kind of a landing page is.
