Fredericksburg’s #1 Design Firm Supports Friends of the Rappahannock

When we think about our downtown community, often the warm and fuzzies wash over us and the classic Randy Newman hit “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” starts playing in our heads. Especially when we think about our friends over at Friends of the Rappahannock. Supporting the heartbeat of a smaller town is easy when you know the people are good, their stories are incredible, and their missions are honorable. And when that mission is one that protects the very best parts of your city, the natural environment and resources, that’s when giving is the easiest.

Sharing is Caring at Metro Nova Creative

Each financial quarter, Metro Nova Creative donates a portion of our profits to a local charity or organization that is close to our hearts. This year, founder Dan Craddock asked the members of his team to choose which organizations would receive the funds and we were ecstatic to do so! For Q2 of 2022, Metro Nova Creative designer Emmalee Maine advocated for Friends of the Rappahannock to be our donation recipient.

Why Friends of the Rappahannock?

This conservation organization has been around since 1985 and their mission is simple: To be the voice and active force for a healthy and scenic Rappahannock River. The Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) achieves their mission through advocacy, restoration, and education. When asked why she chose this conservation group, Emmalee had this to say: “I grew up in an outdoorsy family (camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, etc.) and love nature and wildlife. So prioritizing, protecting, and restoring the natural environments that surround us is important to me.” And as a team, we couldn’t agree more!

Throughout the quarter, we will be focusing on promoting the events and fundraisers of the Friends of the Rappahannock and all of the highlights that make this organization such a vital part of our downtown community. Stay tuned to learn more and see how you can help keep our river as healthy as possible through opportunities to donate or take action.

Marketing vs Advertising

Marketing vs Advertising

People confuse marketing vs advertising all the time. Are they the same thing? Advertising is a part of marketing, but they aren’t the same. The most simple way to think about it is marketing is about selling your brand, where advertising is about selling a product. Marketing is the process of getting people interested in your company and its products

Find a Problem, Sell the Solution

Find A Problem, Sell the Solution Remember when you would visit the pediatrician as a child? You would sit on the table, and the doctor would inevitably point to a chart of smiley faces to gauge your pain. Ranging from no pain to excruciating pain, the doctor would use this to determine whether you really broke your arm or if
