Should I Buy My Own Domain?
How to purchase your own domain name.
Hey sports fans! So I frequently get asked the same question about purchasing a domain name. “Should we buy our own domain name? Can you just buy it for us and manage it, because I don’t want to deal with it?”
The answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It’s like letting someone hold onto your social security card for you. It’s a mistake that plenty of people make. They hear from a website developer or an IT company that they can take advantage of their “customer driven,” all-inclusive services where they’ll never have to worry about renewing their domain name again. It will be all safe and snugly in their kangaroo pouch of the internet. Until that pouch goes out of business or is eaten by a much larger kangaroo/crocodile hybrid.

Now we don’t endorse any particular domain name company, and we’re not compensated in any way by those companies, but there are few places you can use to grab that super sweet domain name you had your eye on. People should also know that this is sometimes called a “Domain Name Registrar”.
What is a Domain Name Registrar?
A domain name registrar is a company that allows you to purchase and register domain names. All domain name registrars are accredited by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), a non-profit organization responsible for managing domain names. They’re essentially the boss/babysitters of the internet names.
Why do we need domain names and registrars? Well, if it weren’t for simple easy domain names like google.com we would have to type in something more like this to find a site –> 111.222.333.44
That would suck indeed. So, here are some of the top domain name registrars you can use right now, in no particular order.
